Lorenso and his family built this budget garden beach resort in 2006 and have been welcoming backpacking travellers from around the world ever since. This quiet resort is located 300m down the beach from Living Colours Diving and 15 minute walk along the road to local restaurants and shops.
These 4-bed shared traditional wooden bungalows are equipment with running water, bug nets, and fans. There is also a large outdoor common area where we conduct workshops and research activities.
A outdoor kitchen and dinning area is located on the beach with a fridge stocked with soda and beer for sale. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks are served here every day.
Power is a limited commodity on the island and usually created with private generators. This means there is limited access to power which is turned on in the afternoon until midnight (or upon request). Don’t forget your head torch!
There is WiFi available at Living Colours or the local Reggae Bar 15 minute walk away. All interns are provided with a local SIM card that allows for limited data coverage throughout the country. You are responsible for paying your data (around 6GB available for 100,000 IDR/month)
This is basic island living, there will be bugs, there will be some hot nights, but it is all part of this authentic conservation experience!
